I wonder if it is wise using comp.sys.hp... Comp.sys.hp is for HP PC and HP workstation owners, and if they split their split groups will intermix with your proposed. Other people have stated that users who want to read all handhelds messages should read all groups created by this split. If the hp48 posting are carried away from a "handhelds" hierarchy then this will not be as convient. A possible solution would be: Delete: comp.sys.handhelds or alias it to comp.sys.handhelds.misc Create: comp.sys.handhelds.misc Create: comp.sys.handhelds.hp48 Create: comp.sys.handhelds.hp28 etc. I would advocate removal and redirection, using an alias, of the current comp.sys.handhelds group. -- Dan Boehlke Internet: dan@gac.edu Campus Network Manager BITNET: dan@gacvax1.bitnet Gustavus Adolphus College St. Peter, MN 56082 USA Phone: (507)933-7596
