Message-ID: <91063.204937U35828@uicvm.uic.edu> Date: 5 Mar 91 02:49:23 GMT Organization: University of Illinois at Chicago Lines: 17 I have one question about 3rd party hard drive options for the PS/2 Model 30-286. Are there any high-capacity drives available that would: a. Take advantage of the 40-pin pseudo-IDE/floppy port on the motherboard? or b. Use some other means not to take up an expansion slot for the controler card? Because I feel that IBM's stock drives for the 30-286 all SUCK, I opted for the Seagate ST-151-1. It is attached to an 8-bit ST11M controller card. I have another slot used up for the bracket for my external floppy drive. My ultimate goal is to have 2 free slots free. I'm just biding my time before my drive dies.
