The real question is can Apple win such a suit? I am light-years away from being a legal expert, but I would think that with all the fuss Apple has been causing lately (with respect to user interfaces and the like), you might be in trouble if your ROMs emulate the MAC's functions. Even though it is completely original code, if in the end it provides the same look-and-feel as Apple's interface, you are on shaky ground.
