i know this has probably been ground into the dirt by now, but the lab
has just bought a full-page scanner.  unfortunately, the software only
saves images in an uncompressed tiff format.  therefore, each image is
taking up around 1 meg of disk space.  is there a shareware application
for the mac that will convert tiff to gif?  i need something like piclab
or graphics workshop for a mac.   please send suggestions via email,
since i don't read this newsgroup regularly.
