I am using a Mac Classic, with the new system software, Kermit 0.98(62) ans a Cardinal 2400 Baud modem. The problem is that when I dial, the modem (or perhaps Kermit) hangs up the phone after about three rings. The mainframe doesn't always answer that quickly, and so I don't get connected. This is especially bad when it is busy, and someimes it takes me a dozen times to be able to connect (and yesterday, I wasn't even able to.) My question is... Is there any way to change the time out period using either Kermit or the Modem or something... The command I currently use to dial the modem atdt xxxxxxx E-Mail responses would be prefered....
