Message-ID: <11743@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu> Date: 3 Mar 91 23:17:04 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Martin Information Systems, Ltd. Lines: 18 What are the symptoms of battery failure on the Mac II logic board? I have a Mac II that does not want to start up--no chimes/bong, etc. It is an Aug 1988 model. A friend of mine suggested desoldering both batteries from the logic board and testing them. Before I do so, I'd like some advice on whether or not this is an appropriate action. Assuming it's a battery problem, where do I get them? If it's a logic board problem, would it make sense to get the IIfx upgrade rather than pay for a logic board repair? Thanks in advance.
