I have a user with a 'recovered' partition created using the HD Partition INIT, included with Symantec's SUM utilities, vers. 1.0. We copied it off his trashed hard disk with apparent success. However, when we try to mount the partition file using the accompanying DA, we get a message 'Mount error!'. Errr... Unfortunately our backup mechanism seems to have also failed, so this user would dearly love to retreive at least *some* of his files from this partition file -- it looks 'ok' from a peek using the file editor & comparing it with a newly created partition, as best we can tell. It's not a contiguous space problem either, as the DA will explicitly report such an error. Any ideas folks? Email is the best route I guess.
