Short memory! All past apple system software kits costed $50, including System 5 and System 6. The $50 covered the disks and manual sets. Dealers were free to allow Mac owners to copy the system software if they so desired. Many of us are wondering if the "free" copies will be available, but. I would assume that one should read the new manuals at least once, so maybe $50 is not unreasonable.
