I got the update for free from Farallon (no shipping charges, even!)--all they wanted was my MacRecorder serial number. With the new SoundEdit, you also get the MacRecorder Driver, which lets you use MacRecorder with any software that supports the System 6.0.7 Sound Input Manager--for example, the HyperCard Audio Palette. The MacRecorder Driver also lets your Mac play sounds compressed with Farallon's 4:1 and 8:1 algorithms.
