I realize this question may be an insult to some people on this forum, but here it comes ... How do I start a plain vanilla process (in my case a scheme interpreter), and get get access to its stdin and stdout? My problems: a) NeXT Speaker/Listener classes are TRUE goodies, unfortunately, my scheme interpreter is just your average C coded Unix app reading/ writing to stdin/sdout. b) Ha! The Subprocess class of NeXTStep 2.0 is even BETTER, :-( but I'm working under 1.0! c) I'm not quite sure where and how to place my forks, pipes, etc. in my App ... is there anything I need to be aware of that's special to ObjC? d) What I want to do is really just a new front end to an old app ....
