Thanx to every one who replied with suggestions. I must not had the problem well described. The problem was that after the "sympton" I ejected the disk, however, the directory with the diskname did not go away. No way that I could get rid of that file. click it, ls from shell, umount from WM/shell gave no such device or address error message. df did not list that OD volume either.
