On a NextStation:  sndplay will work for a few calls, from a terminal
window, and then I get "Cannot access hardware resources".  The only
fix for this seems to be logging out and back in.  Obviously the 
snddriver is not getting released properly somewhere.  Is there a quick
fix for this?  Thanks.
