I am attempting to connect a Microtech Eclipse 400 hard drive
to a NextStation running 2.0  The drive is supposed to be plug
and play, but the Next is not recognizing the drive.

When booting from the monitor, I see the message
sd1: UNIT ATTENTION
repeated several times, and the Next boots and never
again pays any attention to the external drive.

Anyone know what this message indicates?

BTW, the external drive is set for SCSI address 3.
Please email any suggestions.
