There's a bug in shgen that makes it complain about a rename when a file with the new name already exists. This only affects certain versions of MS-DOS, I believe. There's also a bug with the BYU packet driver shell that causes errors when using the new shgen or netgen. Unfortunately, I don't remember the details. If you're using the BYU shell, this could be the problem. Flame on: Why can't Novell learn how to do decent error handling? I am getting seriously tired of idiotic "Oops. This error was never supposed to happen, so we'll just tack a meaningless number on it" errors. "Professional" programmers should know better. At the least, _DOCUMENT_ the error numbers!!! Flame off. I feel better now... :-) -- Stephen Trier Case Western Reserve University Work: trier@cwlim.ins.cwru.edu Information Network Services Home: sct@seldon.clv.oh.us %% Any opinions above are my own. %%
