Corel seems to use an Adaptec but things may change. NLM #1 sets up the CD-ROM drvices; initalization, etc... NLM #2 creates "databases." Since NetWare 3.x does not support CDs directly yet, Corel creates their own file system/CD interface. What you do is create a database name "Test CD database" or "10000 Art slides.." and connect 1 or more CD drives to the database name. Then you issue a mount command and the database comes on-line. The more CD's the more, or bigger "databases" you can have. You can mount and dismount as needed. On the PC side, you load a device driver and then load the Microsoft extensions. You then use a CDMAP command to map drive letters to the available databases. Performance is good to real good to fast depending on the server and workstation buffer size. I tried the software with a number of different SCSI CD-ROMS and it seemed to work ok.
