That's really old! You need a monitor dated after April 1990 (earlier versions didn't use direct exception mode and, hence, will not work with Minix) and a Minix dated from the middle of summer 1990, preferably the end of August (fixes a memory allocation bug and a bug in the code to determine the RAM size). Send me an original Prentice-Hall Minix boot disk with the copyright on it plus six bucks and I will send you my "official" pc532 Minix distribution. And, of course, I will return your boot disk.
