The specific drive is a Colorado Jumbo (60Mb). My understanding is that it is a supported device, but the manuals provide NO guide. Specifically - drive installed as second drive on the floppy controller; - sdevice.d/fdt and ft_ - second field changed to Y - sdevice/fd - second field changed to N -/etc/conf/cf.d/mdevice entry for fd - r deleted from third field (whinges about fd being required otherwse). Kernel rebuilt and installed dd if=/dev/qic40 reports an error - error number changes if repeated. This is after a delay - maybe a timeout limit is too short for this drive ? 1: Are QIC-40 devices supported under Interactive 386/ix 2.0.2 2: If so - any suggestions about how to configure the kernel and access the drive. Thanks in advance - can't get any joy out of local suppliers !
