Statistics Dept. Lines: 25 We operate three servers under Ultrix 4.1 at three location separated by Wellfleet brouters, Chipcom modems, multi-port repeaters, etc. etc. We have a YP password map that operates over our entire collection of machines and worked well through all our gateway/network connections until we updated to Ultrix 4.1 Now we get: Status received from ypxfr on holly: Failed - ypxfr had an RPC failure Status received from ypxfr on orca: Failed - ypxfr had an RPC failure Other maps make and push fine. I have heard that YP was not supposed to work across gateways. Should we be using BIND/Hesiod instead? It used to work. Can it be made to work again? -- Michael Conlon Department of Statistics University of Florida
