Keywords: dump, rdump, SIGSEGV Message-ID: <1991Mar5.050934.15161@vela.acs.oakland.edu> Date: 5 Mar 91 05:09:34 GMT Reply-To: schemers@vela.acs.oakland.edu (Roland Schemers III) Organization: Oakland University, Rochester MI Lines: 21 Are there any 'known' bugs in dump/rdump under Ultrix 4.1? All of a sudden rdump and dump commands that have been working for over year are dumping core with the following message: DUMP: SIGSEGV() ABORTING! Illegal instruction (core dumped) This is happening under Ultrix 4.1 on a DECsystem 5820. The dump/rdump command is working fine on a DECsystem 3100 running 4.1 though. The strange thing is I upgraded the system to 4.1 last Wednesday and the dumps ran fine until tonight! Any ideas? Thanks, Roland -- Roland J.
