In .../mit/config/ultrix.cf, you need a line like this:

#define ConnectionFlags -DUNIXCONN -DTCPCONN -DDNETCONN

the important missing but is "-DDNETCONN".  You don't need to rebuild from
scratch to get everything to use this, but it is the far easier to type
"make World" just before you go home ....
