I configured them as the Mouse Systems Mouse/or VisiOn connected to the appropriate port (has to be either com1 or com2, I've *always* used com1). It works... However, it is not a great mouse, there is a distinct time lag between pressing the button (LBUTTON_DOWN), and the application/windows registering that the left button is down. Causes a lot of errors. However, the Genius Mouse is shipped with a lot of systems, so I guess there are lots of people who use it. I'd suggest that if you have the $$ get either a Microsoft mouse, or (my favourite), a Logitech. (I do *not* want to start a flame war on which is better: I use both. However, I also use Parc Place's Object works, which runs better on a logitech.) kartik -- Anant Kartik Mithal akm@cs.uoregon.edu Research Assistant, (503)346-4408 (msgs) Department of Computer Science, (503)346-3989 (direct) University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1202
