I am FTPing to a Sun 3/80 then I have tried both downloading home via 2400bps modem and Procomm (using Kermit), 2400bps modem and Windows Terminal (Kermit), 9600 bps local transfer to dedicated downloading PC (don't know what protocol used...normally works though), and 4800 baud modem using Kermit onto IBM PC XT. The two files I have tested this with are WINPALPH and WINED10A (?). After downloading and trying to run PKZIP (I've tried three different versions of PKZIP) I get "invalid ZIP file" or one of them actually gives me a BBS advertisment when I do "PKZIP -v FILE.ZIP". After running PKZIPFIX (latest versions) I got a ~<100 byte file (with both of them). However, off of wustl or simtel I got WINGIF (or is GIFVIEW) and it worked without a hitch. If anyone knows a solution to this annoying problem please let the rest of us know. Brian
