Does any one know of a public domain or shareware
program that could be used to make icons for all files
in a directory? 

One way to accomplish this in a program might be to
check the file extensions in a selected directory.
If the extension is one of a list of iconable file 
types then the selected xxx.grp file would be modified
to include the ICON information for that file. 

Looking for ideas and suggestions.
