I use the Logitech and Advanced Gravis 3-button mice on a routine basis
in my home and office with MacX.  Also, Logitech makes a 3-button
trackball which has identical characteristics, for those who like such
things.

All of these work seamlessly as 3-button mice in MacX.  Outside MacX,
they can be programmed using software supplied by the manufacturer to
do lots of interesting things on mouse button press, release, chording,
etc.

I have no particular reason to prefer one manufacturer over the other
except that the Gravis folks (in Canada) supported me EXTREMELY WELL
while I was beta testing their device.  The Logitech folks have been
a trifle less supportive, but not in an incapacitating way: I have had
little or no problems with either manufacturer's product, so support
has been of minimal concern to me.  I just like the fact that the Gravis
folks were so nice.
