I was just about to ask a similar question. I know it doesn't do them in the distributed version, but has anyone tried to hack in the virtual desktop code from tvtwm or vtwm? Last I knew, gwm didn't support virtual desktop (although it did support a "rooms"-like paradigm. Has that been added yet?
