I should like to mention DEAF-L, a forum on BITNET for the discussion of questions, concerns and issues pertaining to deafness. One can subscribe to DEAF-L by sending the following message to LISTSERV at SIUCVMB: TELL LISTSERV AT SIUCVMB SUB DEAF-L 'YOURNAME' where 'YOURNAME' is replaced with the person's name. If you have any problems subscribing to DEAF-L, send me a note (GE0013@SIUCVMB) and I will gladly sign you up. The Seattle Hearing Impaired BBS is TDD and ASCII accessible, and can be reached by calling (206) 526-5020. DEAF COMM is a BBS in the Chicago area, but at the moment I do not have the telephone number at my finger tips. And of course, there is the commercial DEAF-TEK BBS. There are several BBS's that can receive TDD or ASCII calls, but I am not sure that any of them has an exclusively "deaf" focus.... Hope this helps... Virtually, Roy E.
