Would appreciate comments from the net on suggested basic electronics
books.  What I'm looking for is a fairly down-to-earth practical introduction
to the basic principles with a minimum of equations and theory--i.e. not
an engineering textbook.

My favorite is "The Art of Electronics" by P.Horowitz
