It seems that CD D/A converter is a hot topic currently. So is there anybody knows what 
is the actual meaning of : 

           8FS 20-bit digital linear conversion 

I saw it once on the front panel of PIONEER laser disc player. I'm puzzling what  
does "8FS" mean and  it looks like only this product is using linear conversion
(D/A?). What is the real story behind this?
