I can't seem to find a way to tell ex the terminal type when  us-
ing  the  "-"  option  ? In certain versions of ex, it seems that
:set term=dumb just fails completely. In other versions it  works
fine..   (in particular, Version SVR3.1 and Version 3.7, 6/7/85.)
