If someday there is a free implementation of a Motif-style toolkit,
then the FSF would have no reason to discourage people from using it.

My original message about this was an announcment of the FSF position.
It sparked some discussion.  The discussion has been a sensible one,
but I think it should be continued on gnu.misc.discuss if people want
to continue it.
