Ghostscript seems to do a good job on graphics images but is
fairly awful at rendering text.

My question is what font collections can be used with ghostscript
(type ?, source).  Is there a problem with the definition of high
quality fonts being proprietary?  Please reply via e-mail. I
will summarize results to the net.
