We normally run a printer from one of our IAC serial ports using EXEC
to control it.
CPL is normally set to 80 characters.

However, the stationery we normally use is designed for envelopes and
is only 75 characters wide.

When I reduce CPL to 75, although the printer lines are correctly
truncated if there is an overflow of more than 75 lines, the DG (an
MV7800) puts out about 6 LF CR pairs for some reason and upsets the
page allignment.

Can anyone offer an explanation ?
