CPL is normally set to 80 characters. However, the stationery we normally use is designed for envelopes and is only 75 characters wide. When I reduce CPL to 75, although the printer lines are correctly truncated if there is an overflow of more than 75 lines, the DG (an MV7800) puts out about 6 LF CR pairs for some reason and upsets the page allignment.
