   I've setup termcap to give me a default of VGA RED foreground and WHITE
background. Also I've put the following line in .profile ............
echo "circumflex squarebracket squarebracket 31m circum sqrbrkt sqrbrkt 47m
      circumf H circumf J"
**** using the actual characters and without spaces of course. ******
  The result is the actual characters printed on the screen.
clr will give me RED cursor on BLACK background. I then have to invoke elle
or more followed by clr in order to get the desired effect of RED on WHITE.
  I have tried "set" and I have also used curly-brackets, all to no avail.
  I either get "wrong syntax" or the stuff prints on the screen.
  REQUESTING YOUR ASSISTANCE.
****** 1.5.10 16-bit on a 386****** I haven't tried it in 32-bit mode, but I
guess the result will be the same.
