Does anyone yet have experience with the 5 GByte version of the Exabyte
(Exabyte 8500)?  I'm interested, in particular, in hanging one off a
DecStation 5000.  I've heard rumors that this configuration doesn't
work.

I'd welcome comments on the 8500 both generally and specifically with
DEC hardware.
