I have been hearing that there are some nasty problems with some
of Western Digital's Ethernet cards.  Apparently, there is a new
revision of these cards that will not work with some twisted pair
hardware and with some transceivers.  Has anyone been experiencing
problems along these lines?

On another note, what about WD's new Elite cards?  Can they use
the same drivers as the 8003-series cards?  (Packet drivers, etc.)
