I've been watching the net for months, and I've seen many
requests for such a beast, but no answers.

Does anybody know of a simple, intuitive, drool-proof,
wimpy text editor that will compile under unix?  (vi is
great, but new users have a tough time with it.)

If nobody's got one already, I'm planning to write one.
And of course, as soon as I release it, I'll find out
there's been a much better one out for five years ;-)
