User organization will be effective only in the broad directions for
Open Systems. Users can be most effective in giving direction to Open
Systems by becoming contributing participants on a regular basis in
the various standards committees which are attempting to define various aspects
of open systems. Also, make your desires and reasons for open systems
clear to vendors of IT products and systems.
