Lines: 12 If you buy the 28MHz version of the A3001, you can upgrade it to the 33MHz one, BUT: You must replace: The clock crystal, the 68030 (to the 33MHz chip), the 68882 FPU, and ALL of your RAM (unless you bought really fast RAM to start with... the stuff GVP puts on the the 28Mhz memory board is too slow to use at 33MHz). If you want to upgrade to the 50MHz version, you have to get a new board. I'm not sure if GVP has a trade-in program from the 28/33 version to the 50MHz version, but I beleive that they will upgrade the 28 to a 33 for you (for a price). The bottom line is, if you want the 33MHz version, you'll be way ahead of the game paying the extra $300 (or what ever) now for it, than buying the 28MHz version and spending much more to upgrade it later.
