Distribution: usa Organization: U of Wisconsin CS Dept Lines: 11 Originator: troy@cat27.cs.wisc.edu I have a laser and an external 3.5 disk drive hooked up to the external drive connector on the back, and it will boot on powerup from that drive if there is a disk in it. That drive is considered slot 7, or is your drive in an external slot? If it is, then you might, if you can, switch slots. If the boot procedure is like regular apples, then it starts at slot 7 and works down until it finds a drive. hope this helps troy
