(SnowTerm calls it wrap around). Most Unix sites will advise you whether to have this turned on or off because 'things' will work better if both Unix and your emulation are set the same. Most Unix's and their programs (like vi) will take into account whether you have auto-newline or not. For those that don't know- investigate your man pages on 'termcap.'
