Kevin and all: Thanx for the Rev F info.  For those who still believe
that the version number can be safely deduced from a file's header, take
a peek at the PACK program I posted some time ago.  Moral: it can so
easily be changed to F or G or Z, that it isn't a reliable source of
information.
