We've made the proper changes to /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services to include bootp and created a few entries in the file /etc/bootptab. Currently, we've been trying to have a HP-vectra running ncsa-telnet use the bootp to determine ip address and domain name servers and such. We have verified that a connection is being initiated since a bootpd process is created, but the Vectra fails by apparently timing out. Any insights about "required parameters" in bootptab and other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
