Mr. Orozco was, in early 1990 at least, product manager for HPIB interfaces to PCs. They developed a software product "HP E2080A" LIFUTIL to read LIF-to-PC; requires hpib interface to HP's LIF- writing disk drives.... oops... maybe not? scanning prelim manual in not clear. Better to call them.
