Message-ID: Date: 8 Mar 91 10:43:04 GMT Sender: news@santra.uucp (Cnews - USENET news system) Distribution: comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware Organization: Helsinki University of Technology, Finland Lines: 15 Are all the SCSI drives created equal when it comes to compatability with software (DOS, UNIX, etc.)? So if I get an Adaptec SCSI controller, does it matter who's SCSI drive I use - Conner, Quantum, etc? How about speed? Is SCSI significantly slower/faster than IDE from the same manufacturer? Has anybody experience with Quantum drives? Please e-mail responces, Thank's Harri Pasanen hpasanen@sauna.hut.fi
