Summary: Is there one there? Keywords: leading edge, hard disk drive, controller Message-ID: <1991Mar13.025714.5231@rodan.acs.syr.edu> Date: 13 Mar 91 02:57:14 GMT Organization: Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY Lines: 12 I don't regularly read this group, so please email response to me directly. I'm asking this for a friend who has a Leading Edge Model D (8088) with two 5.25" floppies. He wants to put in an st506 compatible drive (in place of one of the floppies...I assume this is how it would have to be done). The question is: Is his machine equipped to handle a bare drive as is? or does he need to get a controller for the drive as well as the drive itself. Thanks, Gerry ggreenbe@rodan.acs.syr.edu
