 I don't regularly read this group, so please email response
 to me directly.  I'm asking this for a friend who has a
 Leading Edge Model D (8088) with two 5.25" floppies.  He
 wants to put in an st506 compatible drive (in place of one of
 the floppies...I assume this is how it would have to be
 done).  The question is:  Is his machine equipped to handle
 a bare drive as is? or does he need to get a controller for
 the drive as well as the drive itself.
