Message-ID: <1991Mar8.114331.15697@cs.city.ac.uk> Date: 8 Mar 91 11:43:31 GMT Organization: City University Lines: 33 I have two pcs which must access the same postscript printer and this printer must also be available to the other networked machines (mostly unix w/stations). The pcs are both on ethernet using ftp/telnet to communicate with the unix machines on the network. What I'm really looking for is some s/w that sits on the pcs and when output is destined for the printer, is grabbed and sent over the ethernet to unix box that has the printer connected to it. I suppose connecting the printer to one of the pcs might be a solution but disk space is a problem and I wonder how it will hassle the pc. I really would like a solution where the unix box is the print server. Can anyone give me guidance please ?
