When I use my NEC Multispeed laptop at home, I take the battery out and use
the AC adaptor to reduce the number of charge/discharge cycles.

A friend of mine just got a T1000LE yesterday, and I would like to know if
there's any problem with disconnecting the battery, if the auto resume feature
is not used?  From what I have heard, the battery life is only a little more
than an hour, and even if not used, the battery would be drained in a few
days.  If the battery has to be charged/discharged so often, I don't think
it will last too long.  Right?
