A brand new Sony HD in a new IIcx will not spin up! I have to torque
it about the drive spindle axis to free it up..............   :(

serial Number: SA 00614800R5   I think

Anyone else having problems with their Sony drives?

(I also had a Sony 40 meg fail like this after a year and a half of use...)
I've still got it at home.... Used now for emergencies...
