Keywords: modem Message-ID: Date: 11 Mar 91 15:15:24 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Rutgers Univ., New Brunswick, N.J. Lines: 14 I'm looking for a cheap 2400 baud modem for a Mac IIcx. Has anyone tried the one from MacWarehouse (800-255-6227): PowerUser 2400 - $99 with cable Or is anyone selling a used 1200 or 2400 baud modem for real cheap? Incidentally, what's the deal with a "fax modem"? Some of these are only about $30 more expensive. I take it they let you send text files or bitmaps to fax machines, and/or receive faxes in this form? Do you need the software separately? Thanks for your comments, rgonzal@chowder.rutgers.edu
