It is very small, has a full complement of lights, and is Hayes compatible. Also, I have observed no noise characters, although I haven't tried any long-distance transfers yet. On local calls, not a single garbage character. Maybe this is not that unusual for local calls at 2400, however. 1200 works fine also.
